Our lovely Margaux (CH Bluespruce It Happened One Night at Sparkill) gave birth to eight healthy puppies on March 13! Four boys and four girls. sired by Mons (CKC GCHB Barbochos Mons) will be going home in late May.
Margaux and Mons are a Champion and Grand Champion Bronze respectively, and both have wonderful pedigrees. Mons was bred by Jacques Cyr, one of Canada’s best known Barbet breeders and Margaux is a result of years of great breeding by Bluespruce Barbet in upstate New York. Indeed, Margaux’s mother (CH Bluespruce Holiday Holly) was competing successfully at Westminster just weeks before Margaux was born.
Margaux has a very confident and calm demeanor and loves to compete in the show ring. Indeed, nothing seems to rattle her. Mons, who was born and bred in Quebec, Canada, has been similarly successful in Canadian Barbet show rings and has the temperament of an angel. It is a perfect pairing of talent and temperament.
The health of the mother and pups is always of the most importance, and thereafter our concern is that the puppies find the best possible placements. We put a lot of time and effort making sure our puppies have the best care and they are raised in our home, not in a kennel. We follow ENS and Puppy Culture protocols, taking great care to ensure that every puppy we entrust to a family is confident and neither aggressive nor afraid.
All of the puppie in this litter have been placed. We will not be breeding Margaux again for at least two years. We thank you so much for your interest in Margaux’s puppies and in the Barbet breed.
